Join Dr Omar Ikram for a pre-Convention workshop on Thursday 13 August at the Charles Sturt University simulation clinic and discover innovative techniques to manage calcified canals.
One of the most common causes of root canal treatment failure is missed canal anatomy. While instrumentation techniques continue to evolve, the true challenge often lies in locating and negotiating difficult, calcified canals that can be easily overlooked.
Join internationally renowned Endodontist Dr Omar Ikram for this highly practical, hands-on course designed to help clinicians confidently manage complex root canal anatomy. Through guided exercises using microscopes, specialised instruments and contemporary nickel-titanium (NiTi) systems, participants will learn proven techniques for accessing, locating and preparing calcified canals with greater precision and predictability.
This immersive program combines evidence-based concepts with real-world clinical application, providing valuable experience in conservative access cavity design, canal negotiation, glide path creation and canal preparation. Participants will gain hands-on exposure to magnification and the latest endodontic technologies that can improve treatment outcomes and increase confidence when managing challenging cases.
Ideal for general dentists, recent graduates, postgraduate endodontic students and early-career Endodontists, this course delivers practical skills that can be immediately applied in everyday practice.
